Valentines Day

So because there is only one deck set up in our (Jaima & me) office. So today Jaima gets to use it to time code her script and log her lower thirds… anyway that means that I have nothing to do until I hear back from NARA, hence all the Valentine comments. But Jaima, Donna, and I were talking about Valentine’s Day. Donna who is dating a much younger man, had some problem with her boyfriend not thinking about their future together, and Jaima was upset that her boyfriend didn’t do anything but call her this morning (he lives like 3 hours away from Portland). Whatever… at least they have boyfriends. And what made things worse is that Tim (Jaima’s boyfriend) send her flowers… to the office. I have never had someone (other than my daddy) do something so romantic on Valentine’s Day. Mike never did anything for me on Valentine’s Day. Oh, oh, oh and someone else in the office is proposing tonight. I’m not a big mushy lovey dovey type of girl, but come on. Just like Donna was saying… I’m not getting younger and if I want to get married and have some kids before my eggs dry up, I need to get on the ball. I used to have this plan.
Age 25- Be in a serious, committed monogamous relationship
Age 26- Get married
Age 28- Have my first child
Age 30- Have my second child
Age 33- If I have 2 boys or girls then try for a third child of the opposite sex

And now look at me… I’m what 3 weeks away from turning 25 and what have I accomplished? Well I do have a kick ass career. I am doing what I always dreamt of doing. I always knew I would work in film, and I did it. I have that… Poor Meghan always wanted to be a writer or lawyer, and now she works in a medical office… newly married, but too poor to have kids.

You know what I really want for Valentine’s Day? I want a boyfriend who will buy me those Necco Wafer conversation hearts…. That’s what I want!!!
